Using the settings menu
* Default
Item Description
Sounds
Set various camera sounds and the volume.
•
Volume: Set the volume of all sounds.
(Off, Low, Medium*, High)
•
Start Sound: Set to emit a sound when you
turn on your camera. (Off*, On)
•
Shutter Sound: Set to emit a sound when you
press the shutter button. (Off, On*)
•
Beep Sound: Set to emit a sound when you
press the buttons or switch modes. (Off, On*)
•
AF Sound: Set to emit a sound when you half-
press the shutter button. (Off, On*)
Help Guide
Display
Display a brief description of an option a menu.
(Off, On*)
Guide Line
Select a guide to help you compose a scene.
(Off*, 3 X 3, 2 X 2, Cross, Diagonal)
Date/Time
Display
Set whether or not to display the date and time on
the camera's display. (Off*, On)
* Default

Display
Brightness
Adjust the brightness of the screen.
(Auto*, Dark, Normal, Bright)
Normal is fixed in Playback mode even if you have
selected Auto.
Quick View
Set the duration for reviewing a captured image
before returning to the Shooting mode.
(Off, 1 sec*, 3 sec)
Auto Display Off
If you perform no operations for 60 seconds, the
camera screen turns off automatically and the
status lamp blinks. (Off, On*)
•
When the screen turns off automatically, press
any button other than [POWER] to resume
using the camera.
•
Even if you do not set this function, the screen
will dim 60 seconds after the last operation to
save power.
Network
Information
See the Mac address and serial number of your
camera.

Set a language for the display text.
