Settings

Protocol
: allows you to select the protocol from
among WAP, HTTP, and Other.
Home URL
: allows you to see the WAP/HTTP/
MMS server address.
Gateway address
(available only with the WAP
protocol): allows you to set the gateway address.
Proxy address/Port
(available only with the
HTTP protocol): allows you to set the proxy
server address and port.
Secure connection
(available only with the WAP
protocol): allows you to select On or Off.
Linger time (sec.)
: allows you to set a time
period after which the network is disconnected if
there has been no new data traffic in that time.
Advanced settings
Static IP: you can specify if you want to manually
enter an IP address; see the Local phone IP
option. If you want the IP address to be
automatically assigned by the server, remove the
check mark.
Local phone IP
: enter the IP address obtained
from the network operator, if you checked the
Static IP option.
Static DNS
: you can specify if you want to
manually enter the DNS (Domain Name Server)
address; see the Server 1/2 option. If you want
the address to be automatically assigned by the
server, remove the check mark.
Server 1/2
: enter the Domain Name Server
addresses.
Traffic class
: select the traffic class, if you
selected the PS network.
Managing Connections
You can add a new connection and edit or delete
an existing connection.
On the list of connections, press the Up or Down
key to select a connection and press the
Options
soft key.
The following options are available.
Edit
: allows you to edit the selected connection.
New
: allows you to add a new connection.
Delete
: deletes the selected connection.
Rename
: allows you to change the name of the
selected connection.
