Common Macintosh Problems
Problems in the Chooser
Printing Errors
Problem Possible Cause and Solution
The printer driver
icon does not appear
in Chooser.
Software is not installed correctly.
• Install the printer driver. See page 7.3.
• Make sure that you are using a high-quality cable.
The printer name
does not appear in
Chooser.
• Make sure that the cables are connected correctly and the
printer is turned on.
• Make sure that the correct printer driver has been selected
in Chooser.
Problem Possible Cause and Solution
You cannot use the
computer while the
printer is printing.
Background Printing has not been selected.
• Select Background in the printer’s properties. See page 7.11.
(Mac OS 10.x is not supported.)
