Installing

the UHD

Evolution

Kit

First,

check the TV's network status and ensure there

is

an

Internet connection.

By

connecting t

he

UHD

Evolution

Kit

to your existing

Samsung

TV,

you

can

upgrade

the

TV's

software without purchasing a

new

TV.

Use

the UHD

Evo

lution

Kit

to

unlock

the

new

features

and

services

offered

by

Samsung

Electronics.

1.

Update to

the

latest

software

on

your

TV.

Navigate

to

Support > Software Update > Update now.

2.

Back up

your

data by

navigating

to

System > Evolution

Kit Backup.

A pop-up window

appears.

If

you

have

any

recorded

programs,

connect a

recording

USB

device

to the

UHD

HOD

5V

slot,

and

then

select

Yes

.

If

you

do not

have

recorded

programs,

select

No

and

go

to

Step

5.

To

view programs

you

previously

recorded

on

your

TV

after

you

h

ave

installed the

UHD

Evolution

Kit,

you

must

convert the programs.

You

can

also

convert recorded programs after

installing the

UHD

Evolution

Kit

by

Navigating to

System >

Update

Recorded Programs.

Follow

the

directions

on

the

screen

to convert your

recorded

programs.

After

completing

the

backup and

conversion,

go

to

Step

5.

off the

TV.
