Call Functions
Quickly Switching to Silent Mode
Silent Mode is convenient when discretion is
required and you wish to stop the phone from
making noise, in a theatre for example.
In Idle Mode, press and hold the key until
the "Silent Mode" message and vibration icon
( ) display.
In Silent Mode, your phone changes the sound
settings as follows:
Option New Setting
Alert Type (Menu 5.3) Vibration
Keypad Tone (Menu 5.4) Off
Message Tone (Menu 5.5) Light Only
Folder Tone (Menu 5.6) Off
Power off tone Off
Extra Tones (Menu 5.8) Off
To exit and reactivate the previous sound
settings, press and hold the key again until
"Exit Silent Mode" appears. The vibration icon
( ) no longer displays.
Note: When you turn the phone off, Silent Mode is
automatically deactivated.
Selecting Functions
and Options
Your phone offers a set of functions that allow
you to customise it. These functions are
arranged in menus and sub-menus, accessed via
the two soft keys marked and . Each
menu and sub-menu allows you to view and
alter the settings of a particular function.
The roles of the soft keys vary according to the
current context; the label on the bottom line of
the display just above each key indicates its
current role.
