2.1.1 Ring Generator Unit RGU

Two kinds of sinusoidal-waveform Ring Generator Units are available. The RGU drives

3W ring signals.

2.1.2 MISC Card

MISC 1 or MISC 2 Card (only use in the iDCS 100 or DCS 70 system)

One dedicated slot in the Basic KSU is for an MISC card and two kinds of MISC cards are

available. MISC 1(2) cards only used together with the MEM4(or MEM3 or MEM2: iDCS

100 or DCS Compact II SYSTEM) cards. New MISC 1A(2A) Card installed with 500

MODEM is not operation SIO 1 RS232C.

The MISC 1 card contains one additional External Music Interface for MOH or BGM, one

additional External Page Interface, one Alarm Sensor Detection circuitry, 4 channels

DTMF receiver, three General-purpose Dry contact relays, 8 channel FSK Caller-ID

Receive, two RS232C Serial interfaces with connectors for PCMMC and SMDR and

external local MODEM interface. The MISC 2 card is similar to the MISC 1 card but is

also equipped with a built-in 4-ch AA function.

It is strongly recommended that this card be used in situations requiring heavy single line

telephone use.

MISC 3 or MISC 4 Card (only use in the OfficeServ 100 system)

Many miscellaneous function DTMF receiver (4ch), BGM, PAGE, Common Purpose

Relay(3port), CID Rx, 500 MODEM(option) are MISC 3. MISC 4 support MISC 3 feature

and 4 Channel AA. MISC 3(4) SIO Port no serviced, MCP1 SIO Port serviced

consequently. New feature support the FSK Caller ID sender to SLT: With total 16 Channel

for FSK CID Tx & Rx ports.

Only used 500 MDOEM Optional D-board and 3 pin cable connected the MCP1 board for

MP serial data (TXD, RXD ,GND) signalling to the MODEM.

500 MODEM Card (common use the OfficeServ 500)

One built-in 500 MODEM card can be installed in a MISC 3(or 4) card for OfficeServ 100

system or MISC 1A(or 2A) for iDCS 100 or DCS Compact-II system.. The DCS70 modem

card cannot be used on the OS100.
