INSTALLING THE WATER
DISPENSER LINE
Awaterdispenserwithalterisoneofthehelpful
featuresonyournewrefrigerator.
Tohelppromotebetterhealth,thewaterlter
removesunwantedparticlesfromyourwater.
However,itdoesnotsterilizethewaterordestroy
microorganisms.Youmayneedtopurchasea
waterpurifyingsystemtodothat.
Thewaterlinealsoconnectstotheicemaker.
Fortheicemakertooperateproperly,water
pressureof20~125psi(138~862kPa)is
required.
Iftherefrigeratorisinstalledinanareawithlow
waterpressure(below20psi),youcaninstalla
boosterpumptocompensateforthelowpressure.
Afteryouhaveconnectedthewaterline,make
surethewaterstoragetankinsidetherefrigerator
isproperlylled.
Todothis,pressthewaterdispenserleveruntilthe
waterrunsfromthewateroutlet.
• Waterlineinstallationkitsareavailableat
extracostfromyourdealer.
Werecommendusingawaterline
installationkitthatcontainscopper
tubinganda¼”compressionnut.
• Thenewhose-setssuppliedwiththeappliance
aretobeusedandthatoldhose-setsshould
notbereused.
Connecting to the water supply line
1. First,shutoffthemainwater
supply.
2. Locatethenearestcoldwaterdrinkinglineand
installthepipeclampandshutoffvalve.
