Chapter 4 Diagnosis Modes
M Mode
The M Mode is used to specify an observation area in a 2D image with the M Line, and display changes
over time.
This mode is appropriate for the observation of organs with a lot of movement, such as cardiac valves.
The 2D Mode image is also shown, enabling the marking and adjustment of the observation area within
the entire image.

Entering & Exiting M Mode
Tap the M button on the touch screen. If you tap this button again, M mode will be terminated and
the mode will switch to 2D.
M Mode Screen
M Line
Select the M Line in the study image with a nger, and move it to the left or right. The M Line
indicates the relative position of the M Mode image in the 2D image. Therefore, you can move the
M Line to change the observation area.
