04 CLEANING

Cleaning the debris ﬁlter

We recommend cleaning the debris ﬁlter at least 5 or 6 times a year, or when the “5E” error code is displayed. If

foreign substances accumulate at the debris ﬁlter, the performance of the Eco Bubble function will be reduced.

CAUTION: Before cleaning the debris ﬁlter, make sure to unplug the washing machine from the electrical

outlet.

CAUTION: Do not disassemble the debris ﬁlter while the machine is running as hot water may ﬂow out.

1. Open the ﬁlter cover by pressing down and pulling its handle.

2. Remove the remaining water (refer to the “Draining the washing

machine in an emergency“ section on page 30.)

If you separate the debris ﬁlter without draining the remaining

water, the remaining water may trickle out.

3. Unscrew the debris ﬁlter cap (A) by turning it to the left.

4. Wash any dirt or other material from the debris ﬁlter. Make sure the

drain pump propeller behind the debris ﬁlter is not blocked.

5. Replace the debris ﬁlter.

6. Close the ﬁlter cover.

Make sure to replace the debris ﬁlter after cleaning it. If the debris

ﬁlter is not reinserted into the machine, your washing machine may

malfunction or water may leak.

Tighten the debris ﬁlter ﬁrmly after cleaning it. Failing to do so may

result in a malfunction or water leak.

Cleaning the exterior

1. Wipe the washing machine surfaces, including the control panel, with a soft cloth using a nonabrasive

household detergent.

2. Use a soft cloth to dry the surfaces.

CAUTION: Do not pour water onto the washing machine.
