Chapter 8 Maintenance

 Disinfecting

CAUTION: When disinfecting the product's exterior, be sure to use disinfectants recommended by

Samsung Medison.

For disinfecting the product, disinfectants certied through the FDA 510(k) process are recommended.

For more information, refer to the information on cleansing agents, disinfectants, and ultrasound gels

in 'Chapter 9. Probes'.

1. Turn o the system and disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet.

2. Mix the disinfectant solution that is compatible with your system to the solution strength specied

on the instruction label.

3. Wipe the system surfaces with the disinfectant solution according to the instructions given in

disinfectant's user manual.

4. Either air-dry at an indoor location or wipe with a dry cloth, as instructed in the manual for the

disinfectant.

Accuracy Checks

NOTE: The user must ensure that safety inspections are performed every 2 years according to the

requirements of safety standard EN 60601-1.Only trained personnel are allowed to perform these

safety inspections.

Measurements obtained with this product are inuenced by the maintenance status of the product. To

obtain reliable measurements, the product must be maintained in optimal condition.

To ensure optimal operation of the product, perform an accuracy check every year. The equations and

table related to measurement accuracy are included in ‘Chapter 5. Measurements and Calculations’ in this

operation manual.
