On older models: Open the storage compartment

and press the target ('bull's-eye' button) located

in the top left hand corner of the compartment.

On newer models: Press the screen option buttons

1 and 4 simultaneously which are located at the

bottom right corner of the screen.

When on the windows desktop you will need to run

'Shortcut to HideStartBar.exe' located on the

desktop (this may be located inside the unused

desktop items folder).

The virus software can then be installed using a CD

drive or from a USB thumb drive following the

providers installation instructions.

Virus Updates

To gain access to the windows desktop from the

main CellDEK application press the following where

applicable:

Virus protection software requires regular updates

in order to recognize the latest virus threats. The

update method can vary but usually requires an

update file to be downloaded on an internet

PC. This update file can then be copied to the

CellDEK desktop folder and the virus settings can

be set to point to the location. When the update

option is selected in the virus software, the software

will retrieve the file from the desktop folder rather

than from the internet. The desktop folder contents

can then be updated daily, weekly or when

required.

If virus protection software is installed we

recommend that the system is monitored for

changes in performance to the CellDEK

application. If the system performance is affected it

may be necessary to adjust the virus software

settings to enable CellDEK to operate without

restriction.

Virus Checker

A virus check option has been included within the

system setup menu. The user can now run a

malware removal tool to check for virus infection.
