A suitable free tool produced by Microsoft is listed

below. This tool checks for specific, prevalent

malicious software and helps remove any infection

found. This tool can be downloaded directly from

the Microsoft website and is updated with the latest

virus definitions on the second Tuesday of each

month:

Please note that this tool may not remove all

known viruses. Other antivirus software may be

required to remove specific viruses or malware

not covered by this tool. Instructions on how to

install antivirus programs through the Windows

interface within CellDEK can be found in the

CellDEK Users’ Guide.

Note: The Microsoft Windows Malicious Software

Removal Tool is a single .exe file that is used to

locate and remove an infection only. It will not

install on the CellDEK system and will not actively

protect the CellDEK from further infection.

IMPORTANT: Other virus checking tools that have

not been tested by the CellDEK team are available.

Please proceed with caution when using untested

software. If the system performance is affected it

may be necessary to adjust the virus software

settings or remove entirely to enable CellDEK to

operate without restriction. Logicube is not liable for

damages or lost files when using untested

software.
