Attaching an Apple Device

CellDEK software ver. 1.12.0.0. and newer is able

to capture data from Apple devices such as the

iPhone 2G, 3G, 3GS, and iPod Touch.

IMPORTANT NOTE: iTunes must be installed on

the CellDEK before it can support Apple devices. If

it needs to be installed, follow the “Enabling Apple

Device Support” procedure in the Upgrade

Software chapter. See the Upgrade Software

section in Chapter 5 for more information on

iPhone and iTunes.

1. Begin by tapping the “Read New Device” button

on the Main Application Screen. The Device

Type Selection screen will appear.

Tap the Cell Phone button then select Apple from

the list of handset manufacturers.

CellDEK will illuminate the correct data cable with a

green light. A prompt will appear on the screen

asking the user to attach the cable to the

Phone Cable Jack.

NOTE: DO NOT attach the Apple device until

prompted by CellDEK.

Remove the cable from the rack and insert it into

the Phone Cable Jack. The cable’s LED will

turn red. Tap OK on the screen.

The cable’s LED will turn green and a new prompt

will appear. Attach the target cell phone at this

time. Tap the OK button once the phone is

connected.
