Capture to external storage – CellDEK 1.18.0.0 and

newer versions support capturing data directly to a

USB thumb drive. When this selection is checked and

you perform a new extraction by tapping ‘Read New

Device’, you will be asked to choose where the

extraction files should be stored.

Once a drive is selected, CellDEK will continue with

the extraction process as normal. CellDEK will store

the extraction files in the following directory:

‘[DRIVE]:\CellDEK\Datafiles\’.

CellDEK is capable of detecting encrypted thumb

drive software which it will execute allowing you to

enter the encryption password. Once the password is

entered correctly the drive will appear in the list

above.

To view previous extractions which were stored

directly on a USB thumb drive, enable ‘Capture to

external storage’ in Extraction Settings, and then

select ‘View previous extractions’. You will be asked

to choose where the extraction files are stored (which

drive they are on). Once you have done this, CellDEK

will list the previous extractions stored on the thumb

drive for you to choose from.

Physical Extraction

Tapping this button brings up the Physical Extraction

settings screen.
